The family business from eastern Switzerland has been present in Schaffhausen since 2000 and in neighboring Thayngen since 2005. However, as everything had become too small and there was no rail connection, those responsible looked for another solution, which they found in Schaffhausen. The new Cargo Logistic Center is not just a showpiece. Josef Jäger, Director and Board Delegate of Camion Transport AG: "It is also of strategic importance to us, because after Basel, we have the second most important border crossing to the north for import and export goods here." The investment in the new building (excluding land costs) amounts to around 25 million Swiss francs. A total of 2500 square meters are available for transhipment, and trucks can be loaded and unloaded at 34 ramp spaces.

Success with the combination of road and rail
In September, the rail link will also be put into operation, with connections to Geneva, Lausanne, Ticino and Burgdorf. The combination of road and rail is one of the guarantees of success for the company, which strives to maintain a balance between economy and ecology. With its nationwide network, Camion Transport AG is able to deliver goods throughout Switzerland within 24 hours.
