Auto Zürich 2025: A trade fair concept for the fast lane
In contrast to many European motor shows, Auto Zürich has been growing for years. 70 brand presentations and many new products characterized the Oerlikon trade fair last year. The 2025 edition also has a lot to offer again.

The problems of several important motor shows could not be overlooked in recent years. The traditional Geneva Motor Show has disappeared surprisingly quickly. The International Motor Show IAA, which was held in Frankfurt for many years, is attempting a new start in Munich with a completely new concept. Other events, such as the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris, simply lack internationality and therefore attractiveness. The small but excellent Auto Zürich takes a completely different approach. It attracts more and more visitors every year, proving that reasonably sized car shows with good transport connections are still highly valued. Since it was founded 39 years ago, the trade fair has offered exhibitors maximum efficiency - also because the prices per square meter have remained almost unchanged during this time.
More cost-effective concept
Electrification and new forms of distribution are currently revolutionizing the automotive industry worldwide. For this reason, the trade fair in Oerlikon began to break new ground some time ago and to align the new car area with a more efficient trade fair architecture. This works consistently according to the plug & play principle and can still be realized with moderate budgets. With this concept, exhibitors are largely relieved of planning and construction tasks. All they have to do is provide the exhibits and look after them during the trade fair.

The organizers of the Oerlikon Auto Zürich are now proud to announce that 180 exhibitors with 70 new products will be showcasing their products at the 2025 edition, which is likely to attract a large audience to the halls. The exclusive pre-opening, which takes place on the evening before the first visitor day, has proven to be a valuable part of Auto Zürich. The event has become the preferred meeting place for industry representatives, as it is not uncommon for board members of major car manufacturers to be among the guests. Many personalities from the fields of mobility, media, politics, sport and culture also take the opportunity for interesting discussions at the trade fair.
Wide range of brands
Between October 30 and November 2, many traditional and numerous new brands will be presenting their latest products. In addition to the well-known European manufacturers from Abarth to VW, China will be strongly represented with several brands from BYD to Zeekr. Special automotive delicacies can once again be found on the stands of the high-performance representatives Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Koenigsegg.

And, of course, electromobility is once again a major topic. Uncertainty still prevails among many motorists in this area. The development of the e-car market in our country is correspondingly hesitant. The "EV Experience @ Auto Zürich" aims to break down such barriers. Visitors to the trade fair will have the opportunity to test drive numerous e-vehicles. This means that requests for expert advice and comprehensive comparison options can be easily met. An integral part of the EV Experience is a consulting module operated in cooperation with Avia Volt, which also answers questions that go far beyond the pure vehicle topics. However, the highlights of the Experience are the test drives. Due to the great popularity in recent years, the structure of this module has been significantly expanded. This has also made it possible to increase the e-fleet available for the test drives. This year, 46 electric models will be available.
Lovers of unusual small series and high-quality classics can once again look forward to the Manufacture & Classic theme in Hall 6 in Zurich. This collection of automotive gems from the past and present will be complemented by the new strategic alliance with Broad Arrow, which will be holding the first "Zurich Auction" at the Dolder Grand Hotel on November 1. What's more, because motorcycles are becoming increasingly popular in Switzerland, the Zurich trade fair is now being expanded to include Auto Zürich Moto 2025 as a separate motorcycle area.
