Caterham: It also works without doors and soft top 🎥
HARD DRIVING ENJOYMENT Caterham has now completely redesigned the 165 it launched in 2013 as the Seven 170. Anyone familiar with the typology of the small British sports car manufacturer will certainly already know the score.
The number stands for the horsepower per one ton of vehicle weight. And for this, Suzuki's 660-cubic three-cylinder with 84 turbo horsepower is enough for the two-seater, because they have to deal with just 437 kilograms on four wheels.

So Caterham has left out even more in the new model. There are no doors, no soft top and no heating. The seat rails on the passenger side have also been dispensed with. On request, the GRP parts of the body are supplied in carbon.
Top speed of 170 km/h
The 3.20-meter short Seven 170 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in under seven seconds. The manufacturer gives the top speed of the purist roadster with five-speed manual transmission as 170 km/h.
The new Caterham will be offered in an S version and in an even firmer and sportier R version. In both cases, there is a wide range of additional or alternative equipment features. The price starts at just under 40,000 Swiss francs. And please dress warmly.
