At the 1st international Audi eTwin Cup, first-class technical knowledge and the highest level of customer orientation were to be brought together under the motto "Work together, win together".
They had to check vehicle damage, calculate battery capacities and answer questions on automotive technology and service processes. 16 teams, each consisting of three service employees and technicians, competed in five disciplines. In the end, the Swiss team from Garage Gautschi, Lyssach, emerged as the clear winner.
State competitions with about 1700 teams
The successor competition to the Audi Twin Cup, which had been held since 2005, was purely digital due to the pandemic. This is what the small e stands for. For the first time, the participants completed the tests in their familiar garages and training facilities. Around 1,700 teams worldwide took part in the preceding national competitions.
For an entire day, the finalists demonstrated their consulting skills and technical know-how in typical customer situations. Three practical tests were implemented directly on the vehicles. The central test model was an Audi A4. In addition, the participants had to demonstrate their e-competence.
Advantage through technology as a clear mindset
Philipp Lüchinger, Head of Aftersales Audi, commented: "We are enormously proud of the winning team, because this success clearly shows that Vorsprung durch Technik is now also understood as a clear mindset. We consider the adaptability of the participants resulting from the new hybrid test situation and their willingness to learn new technologies as crucial. Congratulations to the team at Garage Gautschi, Lyssach."
