Volkswagen: Golf R and Caddy on sale

Nothing now stands in the way of a spin in the eighth generation of the sportiest Golf. The first Golf R cars have arrived in Switzerland.

With an output of 320 hp, it is the most powerful of all Golf models. The new flagship of the series sends 420 Newton meters of torque in the direction of the standard 4motion all-wheel drive system.

Optionally also with an R-Performance package
The fifth edition of the sporty Wolfsburger accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. However, the Golf R can be ordered with an optional R performance package; in this case, the top speed is raised to 270 km/h. The new Golf R is available for 57,500 francs.

Popular all-rounder among commercial vehicles
The wait for the new Caddy is also over: The all-rounder from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is rolling into Switzerland and is now available from VW Commercial Vehicles.

The fifth generation of the bestseller, which has been built over three million times, is offered as an estate, family van, city delivery van and also as a camper. For the first time, the Cady is based on the Modular Transverse Toolkit MQB, which is also used in the Golf 8.

Numerous new technologies make the Caddy even more practical, efficient, superior and at the same time a smartphone on wheels.

Clean turbodiesels with 75, 102 and 122 hp
The new Twindosing system makes the turbodiesel engines (TDI with 75, 102 and 122 hp) cleaner than ever before. Alternatively, a 114 hp TSI gasoline engine with cylinder deactivation is available. Later, a turbocharged natural gas engine (TGI) will supplement the range.

The entry-level Caddy Cargo Entry model is available from CHF 18,449 and the Caddy Liberty for the family from CHF 23,990. The Caddy is also available at the VW Commercial Vehicles Partner
