New phase of life: The AMAG Welcome Camp 2016 provided all newcomers with information to prepare them optimally for their apprenticeship.

AMAG is one of the largest training centers in Switzerland: the more than 700 apprentices represent around 13 percent of all employees. Every year, new apprentices attend an introductory event - the AMAG Welcome Camp - which aims to familiarize them with the AMAG world and promote group dynamics and networking. 152 apprentices from German-speaking Switzerland, 42 from French-speaking Switzerland and ten from Ticino took part.

The AMAG Academy, AMAG's training institute, revised the Welcome Camp program and split it into two days. At the beginning, the young people were welcomed by the management. Bernhard Soltermann, Managing Director AMAG Import and COO, Jost Eggenberger, Managing Director AMAG Retail, Beatrice Angst, Head of HR Region, and Gerald Ziegler, Head of the AMAG Academy, reported on their professional lives. This was followed by a tour of posts in which topics such as the organization, company divisions, philosophy and personnel administration were demonstrated. A visit to the AMAG vehicle logistics center in Birrfeld rounded off the program.
