Central President Urs Wernli presented the further developed strategy of the AGVS. Today's garage owner, a competent point of contact for all issues relating to mobility in private transport, is to become even more of a holistic provider of mobility solutions. This means that the 4,000 garages united in the AGVS will move even further away from being sales, repair and service companies towards becoming providers of modern mobility products.

Swiss garages were able to hold their own in 2015
The Swiss automotive industry had a very challenging 2015 financial year, as Urs Wernli emphasized. This is precisely why it is remarkable that most AGVS garage owners were able to hold their own despite the many adversities in an extremely competitive market environment characterized by overcapacity and margin pressure: "This speaks for the competitiveness and efficiency of garage owners as the first point of contact for motorists and as trustees of safety on the roads." After approving the accounts and the budget, Urs Wernli honored six long-standing AGVS members for their commitment to the AGVS.
