The V60 mid-size station wagon can now be ordered in the Momentum version at prices starting at 49,800 Swiss francs with the 150-hp D3 diesel. The Inscription variant is available from 54,100 Swiss francs with front-wheel drive. At the start of sales, there is also the D4 diesel with 190 hp and also with front-wheel drive, as well as the T6 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine with 310 hp and all-wheel drive. The Swiss market launch is in August.
Fully equipped already the basic version
Even the entry-level version features the Sensus Connect infotainment system with Bluetooth hands-free system including audio streaming and Internet access. Also standard on board is an eight-inch digital instrument display and the Volvo On Call emergency call system. The Volvo City Safety emergency braking system detects pedestrians, cyclists, other vehicles and large wild animals and, if necessary, automatically initiates braking to avoid or mitigate a collision. With control via the monitor, parking is no problem.
Hardly any noise and very comfortable seats for all
The typical Volvo feeling sets in immediately in the V60. The interior is dignified and sensible. When the heavy doors slam shut, the hustle and bustle of the world stays outside. There's no question about it: you should feel as comfortable here as in your own living room. The seats are very comfortable front and rear, the noise level is low and the suspension is comfortable.
No diesel drive for the new S60 model series
The Volvo S60 will be the brand's first model to be offered without a diesel engine. The next-generation sedan, which will be built in America, will be launched in early 2019. A range of four-cylinder gasoline engines from the Drive-E family and two plug-in hybrid versions with gasoline engines and mild hybrid drives are available for propulsion.
