Formula E: Nico Müller facing a premiere
FORMULA E Although it's just a Formula E test - it's the beginning of a new chapter in Nico Müller's career. On Sunday, he gets to try out an Audi e-tron FE04 in Marrakech. The second round of the 2017/18 Formula E season takes place the day before. More often something new. In the past [...]

Something new more often. Last year, Nico Müller raced in the DTM, GT3 endurance races, the World Rallycross Championship and the World Endurance Championship, with the exception of the LMP2 sports car always on Audi. Thanks to the Ingolstadt-based company's commitment to Formula E, he now has the opportunity to get to know an electric race car as well.
While points will be at stake on Saturday in the second round of the 2017/18 multi-year season on the street circuit of Marrakech, various nominated rookies will get behind the wheel of the Formula E race cars on Sunday. Among them is Nico Müller, who gets to test in the Audi e-tron FE04 from Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler.
Nico Müller: "Until now, I only knew Formula E from television. Now I'll be there for the whole race weekend in Morocco and get to drive myself. I'm very excited and eager to seize this opportunity. It will be a big change for me in terms of driving."

The 25-year-old from Berne is not yet thinking about what this means for his future. He would not be averse to racing there in the foreseeable future.
Nico Müller: "I have been convinced that Formula E has a future. Especially with all its trappings. I'm a classic motorsport driver, but you can't see this as competition. In addition, I'm not only the youngest in the current Audi squad, but also the one with the freshest experience in formula racing."
The man from Berne doesn't yet have any official assurance that he'll continue driving for Audi in the DTM in 2018, but he's not worried about that. "My program isn't fixed yet, but I'm confident."
